Press Statement; No Plans For Load Shedding In Power Sector – GRIDCo rubbishes Dumsor talks

The Ghana Grid Company has dismissed claims that the country will be undergoing load shedding exercise.

This week there have been several reports in the media that GRIDCo has met ECG to draw a timetable for load shedding which will last for 4 months.

In a statement released by GRIDCo, they assured the general public that they have no intention of embarking on nationwide load shedding.

They added that they are currently carrying out key projects to enhance electricity supply in the Greater Accra region.

GRIDCo stressed that the contractors for the projects are aiming at full scale completion between the months of June & July where there will be intermittent power outages at different periods to ensure they safely connect the new installations.
