Police arrests 2 kids who faked their kidnap to demand 200ghc from Parents to bet

The Police in the Upper East Region have arrested two boys for faking their kidnap.

The two boys in the Bolgatanga Municipality faked their kidnap to demand 200 Ghana Cedis from their parents.

The children pulled this trick on their parents to exhort money to settle a sports betting debt.

The older amongst them, Charles Akolgo, a student of the Sacred Heart JHS phoned her mother Mrs. Azerebisa Akolgo on Saturday, 11:37am telling his mother that he’s been kidnapped by an unknown person and this person is requesting for 200ghc as ransom.

The other child who pulled similar trick on his parents, Aziz Imoro Gumah was busted and arrested when the police latter found him swimming in a local dam.
