Photos: Pregnant prisoner saved by Speaker of Parliament gives birth
The pregnant woman who was jailed for injuring her husband’s girlfriend but later rescued through the benevolence of the Prof Mike Aaron Oquaye, Speaker Of Parliament, has given birth to a bouncy baby boy.
Akosua Sarfowaa was heavily pregnant when she was incarcerated, having failed to pay fine of GH¢3400 imposed on her by the Suhum Circuit Court.

Her plight managed to reach the ears of Prof. Mike Oquaye through the effort of Crime Check Foundation, headed by Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng.
The Speaker of Parliament did pay the fine to get her released.
Few months after being set free, Akosua Sarfowaa has delivered a bouncy baby boy.
The news was made public by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Crime Check Foundation, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng.
