Photos: Akufo Addo Meets Renowned American Pastors For National Cathedral Fundraiser
The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo has meet renowned pastors in the United States of America to raise funds for the building of National Cathedral.
The was held at Museum of the Bible in Washington DC and was chaired by Archbishop Nicolas Duncan-Williams.
Other Ghanaian religious leaders present were Archbishop Charles Palmer-Buckle, Most Rev. Bishop Justice Ofei Akrofi, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, all members of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral; GIPC boss, Mr. Yofi Grant; Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye.
The ceremony was graced by their counterparts in the United States, notable amongst them is Pastor Paula White, Senior pastor of New Destiny Christian Center.
Speaking at the event the President said building the National Cathedral will be a fulfillment of a pledge he made to God on his way to win the 2016 elections.
“It will be an iconic infrastructure for national, regional and international pilgrimage and tourism. That is why we are trying to mobilise the Christian community, home and abroad, to join in partnership to raise the needed resources to build the Cathedral,” he added
