Obuasi Police arrest 49 people for breaking ban on social gathering to organize a wedding
The Police in Obuasi have arrested about 49 people for defying the ban of social gatherings.
The people were arrested a at wedding organized Akaporiso a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Photos shared by Obuasi based Shaft Fm sees all the 49 wedding guests seated on a floor with distances between them.

For about a month now, there has been a ban on social gatherings of more than 25 people in the country as part of measures to fight the novel coronavirus.
Aside from the ban on social gatherings, 4 cities in the country, Accra, Tema, Kasoa, and Kumasi are observing a partial lockdown.
