Obour set to contest Asante Akyem South NPP Primaries

Musician Bice Osei Kuffour alias Obour has made clear his intent to join active partisan politics.

The immediate past President of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is set to contest in the ruling NPP Parliamentary Primaries at the Asante Akyem South Constituency.

Obour has already kick started his campaign to win the heart of the delegates. He did join a cleanup exercise and donated a couple of dustbins, Wheelbarrows and other things to one of the local assemblies in the constituency.

The Asante Akyem South seat is a safe seat for the New Patriotic Party and it’s currently held by Hon.Kwaku Asante Boateng who is is likely to contest in the primaries.

Last month another showbiz personality in the person of John Dumelo won the NDC Primaries to contest as their Parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat.
