Nurse Rewarded a Motorbike for Assisting a Pregnant Woman To Deliver in a Moving Bus
The nurse who assisted a pregnant lady to deliver in a moving bus without the requisite equipment needed for delivery has been rewarded by the Ministry of Health through Nurses and Midwives Council (NMC) with a brand new motorbike.
Recall how reports popped up about Sophia Safia Sulemana, who delivered an expectant mother from Buipe in the Central Gonja District of the Northern Region while the vehicle was in motion.
According to sources, the woman in question was on her way to Tamale for antenatal because her time was due in a fortnight only to start experiencing some pains along the way which suggested she was in the process of giving them.

Nurse Sophia Safia Sulemana a staff Midwife at Kunkwa health center in the Mamprugu-Moaduri District on sensing that something was going wrong, offered to help and rushed to her rescue, asked the other passengers for space and professionally delivered the woman to the shock of other passengers.
She has since received praises from various bodies and individuals for her spirited gesture with the parent body NMC during the induction service for Nurses and Midwives of 2017 batch last Sunday at the NMC, head office in Accra where she took home motorbike from the Ministry of Health.
