NPP will not legalize risky Okada Business – Bawumia promises better alternative

Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has ended debates on whether the government will legalize Okada business or stick to the existing law.

Speaking at an event held in Accra on Thursday which saw VW and BlackIvy signed an MoU, Dr. Bawumia said the Okada Business is very risky.

The Vice President of Ghana urged people riding Okada to graduate from the risky business to a safer transport business.

He revealed that the government has a better alternative where they will be empowered to buy brand new cars assembled in the country to ride instead of the Okada.
