NPP offered one of our MPs 1 Million to vote for Mike Ocquaye – Sam George reveals
Ningo Prampram Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Nartey George has made a damning allegation against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) legislator has accused the NPP of offering one NDC Member of Parliament money to vote for Prof. Mike Ocquaye during the Election of Speaker of Parliament on January 7, 2021.
Talking about how loyal NDC MPs are to the party’s course, Hon. Sam George said one of them rejected a huge bribe from the NPP who were desperate to secure a win for Prof. Mike Ocquaye in the election of the Speaker of Parliament.
According to Sam George the NDC MP who was approached by the NPP rejected a huge sum of One Million Ghana Cedis.
He stressed that if they were able to reject this huge bribe why would someone accuse them of taking 50,000 bribe from the NPP compromise on their the party’s stance on the composition of the Appointed Committee of Parliament.
