Noah King Died in a Deadly Shooting
The victim, Noah King, was identified as a 21-year-old by the Erie County coroner.
King had been hit in the chest by a bullet.
The incident has been classified as a homicide, making it Erie County’s first homicide case of the year.
Following the Saturday shooting death of a 21-year-old man at Erie’s Rodger Young Park, police have detained a suspect.
Michael Ochrang, 24, is the suspect in jail, according to Erie Police.
Around one in the morning on Sunday, January 15, police were called to the gunshot in Rodger Young Park near Buffalo Road and Downing Avenue.
According to police, they discovered a shot male, age 21, when they got to the site. At the scene, the person was pronounced dead.
According to Rick Lorah, deputy chief of police, detectives are still looking into the shooting and a number of witnesses were there.
