National Cyclist Andre Simon Dies After 1 Year in Hospital

Antigua & Barbuda’s national cyclist is Andre Simon. He died before 6:00 a.m.

on Sunday, May 8, 2022, he was struck by a car as he was practicing. He has been battling for his life in the Intensive Care Unit at the national hospital since Sunday.

He is still asleep, but we are optimistic that he will continue to recover.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the deceased’s family and friends, who have been struggling with the loss of such an intelligent and compassionate individual.
