Veteran Ghanaian coach J.E Sarpong has narrated a weed related story of a player during his days as coach.
Speaking on Sikka Fm, J.E Sarpong said during his days as coach of Accra Great Olympics, a player came to him for permission to smoke marijuana.
It was an Accra derby between Great Olympics and Hearts of Oaks and the said player approached him for permission to smoke before the game.
The coach said he the player was valuable to him so he didn’t allow grant him the wish but he himself bought the marijuana for the player.
After smoking to his satisfaction, the player helped Great Olympics to defeat Hearts of Oaks 2-1.
“A player personally came to me asking for my permission to smoke weed (marijuana) before a game. I bought it for him, knowing what he can offer. He was voted the MOTM in the game. We (Great Olympics) beat Hearts of Oak 2-1”,

The player’s performance that afternoon was so splendid that was he was adjudged Man Of The Match.
