The demise of John Kumah means there will be a Bye-election in Ejisu to select new MP.

Two people have popped up to contest for the Ejisu Parliamentary seat which has been left vacant by the demise of John Kumah.

As the constitution states, when a member of parliament passed away, there must be a by-election to replace him.

Kwesi Nyantakyi has made it clear he wants to contest for the seat on the ticket of NPP.

The former Ghana Football Association President believes he is fit to be the member of parliament for Ejisu constituency.

He will have to log horns with one Mrs Portia Acheampong Abronye at the NPP primaries which is yet to be scheduled.

The two have already made their posters and they are flying all over social media.

The opposition NDC and other political parties are yet to have any member popping up to contest for the vacant seat.

The Ejisu seat is a strong NPP constituency and anyone who wins the NPP primaries is as good as winning the bye-election.
