Kotoko management member Dentaa arrives with money to settle players daily allowance the boycott
Management member of Asante Kotoko Dentaa Amoateng arrived in Sudan with money to settle the players’ demand for per diem (Daily allowance) after they boycotted training.
The players refused to train ahead of the club’s crucial CAF Champions League qualifier against Al Hilal of Sudan because of pay diem owed them.
After the boycott, Diaspora and International relations manager of the club Dentaa Amoateng arrived at the camp with money to settle the debt but it was too late.
The stadium is no more available for training as it is hosting another CAF game today.
According to sources within the camp the players are regretting their decision not to train on Monday when they had the chance.
Asante kotoko play Al Hilal tomorrow afternoon for a chance to qualify to the group stages of the 2020/21 CAF Champions League.
The first leg played in Accra 2 weeks ago ended 1-0 in favor of Al Hilal.
