Just as you did to Mama Gee, Seize all the holy water & oils sold by some pastors – Kofi Bentil to FDA

Kofi Bentil has asked the Food and Drugs Authority to quit being selective on their fight against the sale of unregistered products.

The Imani Ghana man said this following the arrest of Elizabeth Torgbor alias Mama Gee for selling unregistered products with unsubstantiated claims.

Mama Gee has had her shop closed for selling a charm and vgna sweetener which allegedly help ladies to hypnotize their men to exhort money from them.

According to the Food and Drugs Authority, aside the fact that the product is unregistered, claims about the product are unsubstantiated.

Kofi Bentil has asked the national regulators to extend some energy to religious bodies who sell similar unregistered products with unsubstantiated claims.

He took to Facebook to send the following message to FDA;

Dear FDA,
I appreciate your work, but be careful, because your mandate is to stop harmful drugs NOT ineffective ones!! there’s a huge difference!

People have a right to buy placebos and useless concoctions based on lies! as I always say; stupidity is not a crime!
I worry about you overstepping your authority!

If the law allowed you to seize ineffective concoctions, you would have to seize all the holy water and Oils being sold in churches!!!”
