John Dumelo wins NDC Primaries with 758 votes

Celebrated Ghanaian actor and farmer, John Dumelo has won the ongoing parliamentary primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency ahead of the 2020 General elections.

At the end of the polls, John Dumelo defeated his contender, Madam Adoboe with 758. Madam Adoboe managed to get only 99 votes.

Two-time NDC parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat, Delali Kwasi Brempong failed to pick forms for the ongoing elections.

In a by-election held in December 2018, Mr Dumelo had picked forms to contest for the seat after it became vacant following the death of NPP MP, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko but withdrew to make way for Mr Brempong.
