Joey Manson Passes Away, Alberta Firefighter and Paramedic

A volunteer firefighter and paramedic from Sylvan Lake, who was once recognized for his courage in aiding the RCMP in apprehending an eluding suspect, passed away.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of firefighter Joey Manson, who passed away last night,

said the Sylvan Lake Fire Department in a tweet announcing the firefighter’s passing. The cause of death was not made public.

Joey’s contagious grin, engaging demeanor, and dedication to this town have impacted the lives of countless people. Everyone who has been impacted by this awful tragedy is in our thoughts.
