Jiri Heger Death, Former Principal Viola of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra

The Singapore Symphony is mourning its long-serving principal viola, Jiri Heger, who has died at the age of 77.

Jiri gave more than 20 years to the orchestra. After retiring, he nurtured a new generation at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory.

It was a big leap from Prague to Singapore.
