This a tribute to our friend Jerry Bajalia.
I am deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of our dear friend Jerry. He was a devoted father whose son Levi lit up his world. Jerry made an instant impression on me from our first meeting at his old club the Ironhorse Cafe where I took photos long ago. He was one of those rare souls you can’t help but like and want to be around. His happy smile was contagious. It’s hard to describe but to many of his friends, he felt like family. If you were his friend, he was all in. That was just Jerry. I’ve loved being a speck in his circle of friends and am honored to have known this wonderful gentleman. Peace be with you, dear friend. Heaven gained another angel. May God bless his beautiful son Levi and his family. #RIP #JerryBajalia #IronhorseCafe

I heard the sad news of our great friend, Jerry Bajalia. I’m just incredibly saddened by this loss. We spent so many nights hanging out and he would listen to all my stories and ideas and just laugh with me. Amazing friend. I came to him once with the idea of letting me bring all the instruments on a weeknight to the stage and let me host a jam night with my friends. I thought 6 or 7 of us would show up each week, have a great time on a night we were all off, and run up huge bar tabs for him.😄. I said, oh yeah and I want to call it, The Vulgar Bulge, to which he laughed and said, let’s do it. Well, that idea went wild and we had some of the most talented musicians I had ever seen and never known about showing up to play with us. The best nights of my life were at The Iron Horse, hanging with Jerry and all my pals. Jerry, I will love you forever for those wonderful nights, your awesome friendship, for teaching me how to make the best hummus, and all your advice for my son when we were trying out motorsports. We will continue to pray for your family and watch after little Levi as he grows into a champion, like his Daddy. RIP, good friend.
