Guinea Military ruler Mamady Doumbouya has forgiven the Guinea players over their AFCON failure.
The Military head of state of Guinea, Mamady Doumbouya has forgiven the players of the national team over their failure to win AFCON 2021.
The Syli national of Guinea were knocked out of the tournament at the Round of 16 stage.
Having finished 2nd in their group they met Gambia in the Round of 16 and unfortunately they lost 1-0.

Their exit was greeted with trolls on the internet as to how the players would return home to Guinea without the trophy.
This trolls was in respect to a message given out to the players by the Military ruler before leaving for the tournament.
Col. Mamady Doumbouya before the tournament told the players they have only two option, either win the trophy or return the money invested in the team.
Fortunately for the players the Military ruler has welcomed them home with open arms.
He said the warning was just to motivate them to do well in the tournament.
