“I was possessed and unaware I was beating my grandma to death” – Lady who whipped 90-year-old woman

The lady behind the lynching of the 90-year-old woman says she was possessed by the spirits when she was whipping the old woman.

Latifah Bumaye who is now in the custody of Salaga Divisional Police Headquarters says she didn’t know what she was doing because she was possessed.

The 33-year-old lady was arrested in Kejewu Bator a town around Yeji in the Bono East Region where she seeked refuge after whipping Akua Denteh to death over witchcraft accusation.

Speaking to the police she said some men had forcefully caught her and smeared a powdery substance on her face prior to the incident.

She added that later on when she saw the video herself, she was surprised and even asked those around where she got the different apparel from when she was previously in cloth.
