I met Daddy Lumba when I travelled to Germany for the first time in 1989 – Nana Acheampong reveals

Highlife legend, Ernest Acheampong popularly known as Nana Acheampong has finally detailed how he met his colleague musician Daddy Lumba.

Speaking in an interview on Pure 95.7FM, the highlife musician disclosed that he met Daddy Lumba when he travelled to Germany for the first time in 1989 and after they both found they had a similar interest in making music, they decided to come together to form the ”Lumba Brothers” group.

Nana Acheampong clarified that from that point forward, they played a few live bands indicates together in Germany for just about 10 years until Daddy Lumba moved.

The veteran artist further expressed that after Daddy Lumba moved, he was experiencing issues in seeking studio sessions because of the separation so they chose to go their different ways.
