Hushpuppi attempted to steal £100 million from a Premier League club – US Department of Justice
Raymond Igbalode Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi was arraigned before the court in USA on Friday July 3, 2020.
The USA Department of Justice has charged with Conspiring to Launder Hundreds of Millions of Dollars from Cybercrime Schemes.
One of the charges on the charge sheet has to do with an attempt he and his gang made to steal £100 million from an English Premier League club.
“Abbas and others further conspired to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from other fraudulent schemes and computer intrusions, including one scheme to steal £100 million (approximately $124 million) from an English Premier League soccer club, the complaint alleges.”
