Guinea appoint C.K Akonnor as new head coach
Coach Charles Kwabena Akonnor has been named as the head of of the senior national team of Guinea according to reports.
The former Ghana Blackstars captain was strangely sacked by Asante Kotoko few months ago after leading the club to the group Stages of CAF Confederations and winning the NC Special Competition.
C.K Akonnor flew to Conakry the capital of Guinea for an interview having been shortlisted for the job following the sack of Paul Put who coached them at AFCON 2019.

The shortlist for job as Guinea coach had top coaches such as English Premier League winner Claudio Ranieri, Florent Ibenge, Paulo Duarte, ex-Togo coach Didier Six etc.
According to reports after screening all the candidates the Guinean football authorities have settled on Ghanaian Coach C.L Akonnor for the job as head coach of the Syli Nationals of Guinea.
