Ghana holds a memorial service for George Floyd (Video)

Ghana has organized a memorial service for Africa American George Floyd.

46 year old George Floyd was murdered by a Policeman Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis, USA.

The murder has triggered a massive anti racism protest in America and pockets of protest across the world.

Ghanaian have also shown solidarity to the African Americans with the President even issuing an official statement to call for justice for George Floyd and tackling systemic racism in America.

In the morning of Friday June 5, 2020, a memorial service was organized for George Floyd.

 

 

The service held at the W.E.B Du Bois Memorial Centre For Pan-Afrcan Culture was organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Art & Culture, Ghana Tourism Authority, Office of Diaspora Affairs and The Diaspora African Forum.
