Fix The Country: Government announce reduction in fuel prices following social media protest

The government of Ghana has announced a reduction in the price of fuel.

This comes after a massive social media protest against hardship and bad system in the country.

Today, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), the Ministry of Energy , BOST, and other stake holders held a meeting to discuss the price of fuel.

At the meeting they agreed that the 17 pesewas per litre increase in fuel margins previously announced by NPA has been reduced to 9 pesewas per litre, effective tomorrow, May 5, 2021.
