Fix The Country: Fresh Lawyers complain of GH¢1,500 monthly salary
The month of May started with social media movement to get leaders in Ghana to fix the country.
The hushtag, FixTheCountry have been trending all over social media since May 1, 2021.
People in all sectors of the Ghana economy have taken to social media to complain about the ills in their sector.
Central to the problems the youth are calling out the government to fix are, education, health, employment, road and Galamsey.
One of the shocking revelation, the FixTheCountry trend has brought is how meager fresh lawyers are paid.
According to a young lawyer who tweets from the account Mr_Swrites, fresh lawyers take home monthly salary of GH¢1,500.

Other lawyers who joined in the conversation say the GH¢1,500 for freshers is even with big firms because fresh lawyers in small firms earn GH¢800 a month.
And for those who have paid 13k or more each year for 6 years as school fees, it comes as a clear case of exploitation.
