Kwame Nkrumah was a Ghanaian politician and leader who played an important part in the country’s struggle for independence from British colonialism. He was born on September 21, 1909, and was Ghana’s first president from 1960 until his overthrow in 1966.

Nkrumah was a significant figure in the Pan-African movement, advocating for African unity and self-determination. He was also a prolific writer and thinker, with works such as “I Speak of Freedom” and “Africa Must Unite”.

Some of his noteworthy accomplishments include:

Lead Ghana to independence on March 6, 1957,
Founded the University of Ghana and other educational institutions and Implemented policies to promote economic development.
