Elections 2020: We will vote wisely against you in the upcoming elections (opinion)

Election 2020 is almost here with some 41 days more to go.

President Akufo Addo will face a stiff competition from his main contender, John Mahama. Even though the president is focused on winning the upcoming Elections, John Mahama is also very determine and focus to grab the presidential seat from him.

The party are therefore looking forward to increase their votes within the region in order to win the election.

But let’s asked ourselves whether it will be possible? The President indicated some time ago that the Elections will be based on track record. But the question many people in the Asante region keep asking is what kind of Developmental projects has Akufo Addo brought to them?

Former president John Mahama also gave the Asante region many major Developmental projects like the KEJATIA MARKET, The Rattray park, The Afari military Hospital, the Fomena Hospital and the numerous E-BLOCKS, Akufo Addo can’t boast of any major project within the Asante region.

Even though, during the President’s last visit to the region, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll told him that the people will remember him for his good works on December 7th, one will wonder if the two can battle out based on their projects.

When former president John Mahama also visited the Asantehene the last time, he was able to recount many projects that he gave him within the region, but same can’t be said about Akufo Addo.

And since the President indicated that the elections will be based on track record, it is clear that one can tell the massive records of both political parties in the Asante region.

This tells you that the people in Asante region will be very vigilant vote in this year’s election unlike the previous years which one can predict the region’s massive votes.
