The political tension in Ghana has risen as the country nears the December 7th general elections.
Citizens have since been sharing their opinions on who among the 12 presidential candidates deserves their vote but the choice has significantly been skewed towards choosing between the candidates of the two major political parties in Ghana.
Some believe the incumbent President, Nana Addo deserves another 4-year term whilst others argue that Former President John Dramani Mahama of the NDC must come back.
Ghanaian dancehall act, Samini cut his teeth in the partisan politics in Ghana this year after the NPP released a song he composed for the party.
The song highlights achievements of Nana Addo to tell why Ghanaians must re-elect him.
But according to music executive, Ricky Tenneson Kotey, The High Grade Family‘s boss went to the leaders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and demanded to endorse them ahead of the elections but they turned him down.
Speaking with Mzgee of TV3, Ricky Kotey went on to say Samini personally told the NDC that he was a member of the umbrella party hence they should open their doors so he does something for them.
He went on to say things didn’t work for him hence decided to contact the New Patriotic Party(NPP) who had a deal with him making him drop his now popular ‘Kpooyaka’ song which happens to be an endorsement to Nana Addo.
