Diego Costa given 8 match ban for insulting referee’s mother
Atletico Madrid striker, Diego Costa has been handed an eight game ban for insulting a referee.
The Brazilian born Spanish striker subjected center referee Jesus Gil Manzano to abuse in Atletico Madrid’s 2-0 defeat to Barcelona over the weekend.

He latter grabbed the referee to prevent him from showing him a red card.
The Spanish FA on reviewing the incident has banned Diego Costa for 8 games in La Liga.
This means that the former Chelsea striker will not feature for Atlético Madrid for the rest of the season as it’s left with only 7 games in the 2018/19 season.
But later apparently he grabbed and hold the arm of ref to prevent him from showing card.
And touching ref is worse than insulting him.
