Diana Asamoah and Afia Pokuaa arrested for leading a Counterfeit producing Girls Gang (Video)
The Ashanti Region Police command has arrested 18 women who operate counterfeit production business in Obuasi.
The leaders of the group are a certain Diana Asamoah and Afia Pokuaa.
According to a news published by Vlog Nsem-Pii Tv, the first suspect, a certain Joyce Ama Asare was busted at Ejura where she went shopping with many counterfeit GH¢100 and GH¢200 notes.
She bought several items at the Ejura Market with the fresh cedi notes till someone gave the police a tip-off.
When she was arrested the counterfeit money on her amounted to GH¢1100.
Joyce Asare led the police to a hotel in Obuasi known as Embassy Hotel where they busted leaders of the gang, Diana Asamoah and Afia Pokuaa and 15 others producing fake cedi notes.
