David Crosby Children: Meet David Crosby’s Six (6) Children
The sad news of David Crosby’s death from a “long illness” at the age of 81 was shared by his wife tonight.
He died “lovingly surrounded by his wife and soulmate,” and he was a founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, then Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
His wife Jan paid him a heartfelt tribute that was published in Variety
“We mourn the loss of our much loved David (Croz) Crosby, who went away after a lengthy battle with sickness.
“His wife and soul partner Jan, as well as their son Django, surrounded him with love. His humanity and gentle spirit will live on in us even though he is no longer physically present.”
David Crosby, Stills, and the Byrds all got their starts with him.
Following on, Jan said
“His iconic music will carry on his legacy long after he’s gone. Sending love, peace, and harmony to everyone who knew and was affected by David. His absence will be sorely felt.“Please respect our need for privacy while we mourn this great loss. You have my deepest gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers.”

David Crosby had 6 Children namely, Beckett Cypher, Bailey Jean Cypher , James Raymond , Django Crosby, Donovan Crosby And Erika Keller Crosby .
In 1962, Crosby and Celia Crawford Ferguson had a son named James Raymond, who was later adopted and then found his way back to Crosby. Since 1997, Raymond has been a regular presence in both Crosby’s live and recorded performances, first with CPR and later as a member of the touring bands for Crosby & Nash and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Crosby also had a daughter, Erika, with Jackie Guthrie; a daughter, Donovan Crosby, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Donovan; and a boy, Django Crosby, with wife Jan Dance via extensive reproductive treatments while Crosby’s liver was failing.
Crosby wed Jan Dance, then 35, in May 1987 at the Hollywood Church of Religious Science in Los Angeles, where he was 45 at the time. Stephen Stills, one of his bandmates, officiated the wedding.
In late 1997 or early 1998, Crosby’s brother Ethan committed suicide; the exact date is unknown because Ethan left a message instructing his family not to hunt for his body but to allow him return to the soil.
His body was discovered in May of 1998, months later.
Melissa Etheridge revealed in January 2000 that Crosby had donated sperm for her and Julie Cypher to have two children through in vitro fertilization.
Etheridge tweeted on May 13, 2020, that her and Cypher’s son Beckett, age 21, had died from complications arising from opiate addiction.
