D.C. Officer report that a 15-year-old child was put behind bars and is now being charged with second-degree murder following a deadly gunfight on Southeast D.C.’s Benning Road.

Just earlier 9 p.m., three people were shot in the 5000 block of Benning Road Southeast at H Street, according to police.

According to authorities, a suspect was seen on surveillance footage from a Shell petrol station shooting the 15-year-old and a guy outside of the Moon Star Carry Out restaurant. Detectives stated that the shooter pulled out a handgun shortly after the teen was hit, pulled the trigger many times, and hit Dale Henson, 54, of Southeast, D.C.

Officers arrived on the site and discovered Henson, a man, and the teenager all with gunshot wounds.
