Court orders Asamoah Gyan to pay wife GH¢204,392 as maintenance fee

General captain of the Ghana Blackstars, Asamoah Gyan has been ordered by an Accra High Court to pay his wife 200,000

Her Ladyship Mrs Justice Hafisata Amaleboba of the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the Accra High Court ruled that the footballer should pay his wife GH¢204,392.22 as maintenance fee.

Mrs. Gifty Gyan, the embattled wife of Asamoah sued his husband who neglected her and their children over doubts the kids aren’t his biologically, after suspecting the wife of cheating.

After a DNA test on the request of Asamoah Gyan proved that the children are really his, the wife sued the player for compensations as the player stop catering for the family from July 2018.

Her Ladyship Mrs Justice Hafisata Amaleboba ruled that maintenance fees for electricity, water and other household utilities amounting to GH 204,392.22 should be paid to the plaintiff pending the final court verdict.

It is this day adjudged that the applicant (Gifty Gyan) recovers against the petitioner (Asamoah Gyan) the following; “Bills and other expenditure covering water, electricity, gas-£680, internet – £180, skype – £107.91, saloon and other vehicle maintenance- £200, home maintenance – £150 in arrears commencing from July 2018 to September 2019, totalling £18,450.74” – The court explained
