Coronavirus: MP wants Akufo-Addo to be quarantined upon his arrival from Europe

The Member of Parliament of Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak has requested for the President of Ghana to be quarantined on his return to the country from his European tour.

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo travelled to Europe for a tour in some selected countries including Norway and the United Kingdom.

Ras Mubarak wants him to the quarantined upon his return from Europe where there has been confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Speaking in parliament today Ras Mubarak made mention of a similar incident in Mongolia where their President, Khaltmaa Battulga has been isolated for the protection of the citizenry after his return from a visit to China.

What measures are being put in place to ensure that the Rt Honorable Speaker, staff of parliament and members of parliament are not at any risk of contracting the coronavirus.”

“And finally Mr Speaker, could my honorable friend confirm whether upon arrival in the country from his European tour, his Excellency, the president would be quarantined,” he added
