CAFCC: Asante Kotoko Defeats Zesco United From Zambia

Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded their first win the the group stage of CAF Confederations Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors hosted Zambia giant, Zesco United at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kwame Bonsu gave the home side an early lead in the 10th minute.

Kotoko added 2nd in the 25th minute when Emmanuel Gyamfi calmly slotted home a Songe Yacouba pass.

The Zambian managed to get the consolation in the 72nd minute through Ghanaian Rahim Osmanu.

Kwame Bonsu was denied by the side posts in the dying minutes of the game.

The game ended 2-1 in favor of Asante Kotoko.

The result means all 4 teams in the group are tied on 3 points.
