Bridget Campbell Died From Cancer, Director of BlackRock

Bridget Campbell, a director for BlackRock from Toronto, Ontario, died at the age of 44 after a valiant fight with cancer.

She passed away in Toronto General Hospital on January 6, 2023, with relatives by her side.

Bridget made a great wife, mother, aunt, daughter, sister, and family member.

She was given the name Bridget Lorraine Campbell on September 21, 1978, in Oakville. She was raised in Georgetown, Ontario, before going to Western University for her undergraduate studies and Queen’s University for her law degree.

Bridget participated in volleyball at this time for Western and the Province of Ontario (captaining the team in her senior year). After graduating from law school, Bridget relocated to Toronto and began working as an associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. In 2008, she married her longtime partner Edward and joined BlackRock as internal counsel, where she remained an integral member of the BlackRock legal team as a Director until her passing.
