Breaking: John Kumah’s Autopsy revealed that he died of “myeloma”
Poisoning did not cause John Kumah’s death.
The cause of death for the late John Kumah, Member of Parliament for Ejisu, was determined to be unrelated to poisoning by an autopsy.
OTECNEWS sources state that a professional pathologist performed an autopsy on Friday, March 8, 2024, and found that the patient’s cause of death was multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer.
Several sources claimed that the deputy minister of finance had been poisoned when he passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
OTECNEWS, however, has learned from a source close to the MP that he was receiving treatment for multiple myeloma when the illness was discovered in early 2023.
A form of cancer called multiple myeloma affects plasma cells, a subset of white blood cells that aid in the production of antibodies to combat infections.
Uncontrollably growing abnormal plasma cells in the bone marrow push out healthy blood cells in multiple myeloma. Weakened bones, anemia, kidney damage, and immune system suppression may result from this.

The MP was receiving treatment at the University Hospital of Erlangen in Germany for his ailment, which at one point resulted in a fracture in his left arm, according to a source who spoke with OTECNEWS.
Among his diagnoses, according to his German Hospital documents that OTECNEWS obtained, were multiple myeloma, a dislocated humerus shaft, and an extraarticular lateral clavicle fracture (right).
At the time of his passing, he had undergone four chemotherapy sessions, one of which he had requested to be done at the Sweden Ghana Medical Centre in Accra.
The MP was supposed to begin active treatment in Germany on March 12, 2024, but he was released from the hospital against the doctor’s orders on March 6, 2024, in order to attend the Independence Day celebrations, before going back for the treatment, according to the source for OTECNEWS.
The MP passed away midway through his transfer from Kumasi to Accra due to a decline in his health. It was anticipated that he would be transported back to Germany for medical care.
