Breaking: Court throws out Derek Boateng’s Suit Against John Paintsil Over borrowed Cash
An Accra court has thrown away former Black Stars player, Derek Boateng’s suit against his former international teammate John Paintsil over 20,000 dollars borrowed money.
The court presided by Justice Jennifer Akua Tagoe ruled that claims by Derek Boateng were frivolous and had no merit.
The court is ordering Boateng to pay Paintsil’s legal fees and costs.
Derek Boateng earlier this year sued John Paintsil for not paying back monies borrowed from him during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Paintsil however stated emphatically that he did not owe his former colleague a penny and he was ready to battle with him in court.
“All I can say is that I don’t owe Derek. I don’t owe him a penny, but since the matter is now in court I will less talk about and leave it to the judiciary to decide whether I owe him or not,” he said.
