Breaking: Aborga Records terminated AY Poyoo’s contract.

Aborga Records terminated AY Poyoo’s contract.

Famed for his distinctive sound and viral successes, Ghanaian artist AY Poyoo has split from his record company, Aborga Records, which is controlled by music mogul Alfred Aborga.

Their contract was terminated, supposedly, on January 1st, 2023, but it wasn’t until Saturday, March 23, 2024, that the information appeared online.Release claims that the artist and the label had a number of arguments and differing perspectives, which led to the contract’s termination.

Regarding the artist’s strategy for developing his career, there is a fundamental difference between these two points of contention.

It is claimed that AY Poyoo deviated from the label’s set management practice by expressing a penchant for traveling abroad and looking for other job options.

Additionally, AY Poyoo stressed the value of performing abroad and pursuing independent projects outside the purview of the label, since he saw these as the main ways to increase his music-related revenue.

He also argued for a return to the “Original Poyoo” name, using his wealth of industry expertise as support for departing from the label’s original branding plan.

The contract has been revoked since it seems that neither party was able to reach an agreement on appropriate terms.

All songs created and released in compliance with the conditions of the contract are owned by Aborga Records.

The label has the right to recover all money spent on the music they own rights to, up to twenty thousand, six hundred, and twenty-two Ghana Cedis.

But as a courtesy, the label has promised to give AY Poyoo full access to all stream earnings after the recovery procedure is finished.

AY Poyoo published a message to inform his supporters of the sad news. He expressed apologies for the circumstances and admitted his inexperience in the entertainment business.
