Blackstars’ performance at AFCON 2019 fostered “national unity” and “national pride” according to ‘New Chamber’ Majority Leader

The majority leader of Ghana’s parliament has praised the Blackstars for their AFCON performance despite winning only one game at the tournament.

The Blackstars exited the tournament at the round of 16 stage and their performances in the games they played have attracted wild criticisms from Ghanaians.

Despite wild criticisms meted on the team, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu shares a different view on the team’s performances at the tournament.

Speaking on the floor of parliament during the Sports Minister’s budget presentation, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu had positive words to say about the Blackstars’ AFCON campaign.
