Arrest Nyantakyi, Woyome and Free Awal : Social media campaign to get Pitch Invader freed intensifies
Ghanaians have started a campaign on social media to get the detained Cape Coast pitch invader freed.
Awal, a student nurse and a 400m runner invaded the pitch in Cape Coast Stadium during Ghana’s 2-0 win over South Africa.
He was apprehended by the police, locked in cell and has been subsequently arraigned before court.

Arraigning him before court, Police slapped him with the offense of unlawful entry and offensive character.
The court charge hasn’t gone well with Ghanaians who followed the game.
Large number of social media users have kick started a campaign with the hashtag #FreeAwal to get authorities to free the pitch invader.
