‘Angry’ Stonebwoy warns and fights Mr Drew live on radio for involving his name after stealing ‘Eat’ song (video)

Ghanaian Dancehall juggernaut, Stonebwoy has said he did not have any idea that ‘Eat’ by Mr Drew, which he was featured on, was a cover of singer Rotimi’s ‘Love Riddim’.

His comment comes after the video for ‘Eat’ was taken off all streaming platforms for copyright issues.

One Ghanaian had reported to Rotimi that his song ‘Love Riddim’ had been stolen and remastered to produce ‘Eat’.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreakhitz on Hitzfm as monitored by nanansem.com, Stonebwoy revealed that he only offered to help Mr Drew when he first sighted the Song on Instagram.

He revealed that He never knew the song was a cover until his younger brother told him it was a cover of Rotimi’s” Love Riddim”.

He added that , He only got to know it was a cover after he had sent his verse of the song to Mr Drew.

Obviously agitated, Stonebwoy cleared the impression created by Mr. Drew earlier on the show that, he (Stonebwoy) had foreknowledge that his remake, ‘Eat’ was from Rotimi’s ‘Love Riddim’.

“Leave me out of it,” he declared, not wanting to be dragged into the controversy.

“I never knew it was a cover.” he defended.

He also talked about how slightly offended he was with how Mr. Drew presented the story – giving the impression he knew about it

He spoke of his reasoning for featuring on the song.

“I only showed love.”
Days ago, Rotimi inflicted copyright infringement on the Stonebwoy – assisted song, ‘Eat’ by Mr. Drew, due to the lack of permission to remake his song, ‘Love Riddim’.
