Andre Ayew is now Ghana’s highest scorer in AFCON history

Andre Ayew made history yesterday in the Ghana versus Benin game yesterday.

The captain of the team was on the scoresheet when the team drew 2-2 with Benin.

His goal which came in the first half sent his total AFCON goal tally to 9.

With 9 goals to his name in the African Cup of Nations, Andre Ayew is now the highest scorer for Ghana in AFCON history.

2nd on this list are Asamoah Gyan and Rev. Osei Kofi with 7 goals. The father of Dede Ayew, Abedi Ayew Pele has 6 goals to his name.
