Alexander Groombridge Dies From Cardiac Arrest

In Loving Memory of Alexander James Groombridge: A Precious Soul Gone Too Soon

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved son, Alexander Groombridge. His sudden departure due to a cardiac arrest has brought immense sorrow to our lives. Alexander peacefully departed in his sleep on September 2nd, leaving us all in shock.

Alexander was born with a heart condition known as “Tetralogy of Fallot” and a laryngeal web, requiring urgent surgery just hours after his birth to ensure he could breathe independently. Despite the challenges he faced, Alexander displayed incredible resilience and courage throughout his life. We are profoundly grateful to the dedicated staff at The Royal Stoke Hospital for their unwavering care and support, allowing us to cherish every moment with our precious son.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the emergency services for their rapid response and tireless efforts to save Alexander’s life. Our gratitude knows no bounds, and we will forever hold their dedication in our hearts.

On Friday, October 6th, at noon, we will gather to bid farewell to our beloved Alexander at St. Mary’s Church in Uttoxeter. The funeral procession will commence at 11:30 AM from Heathfield Road, leading to the church. We kindly request attendees to dress in traditional funeral attire as we pay our respects to our cherished son.

Following the church service, we will proceed to Uttoxeter Cemetery for a private burial, reserved for immediate family members and close friends. Subsequently, a wake will be held at The Three Tuns, where all those who attended the funeral are welcome to join us.
